Per an interview with Steve Ballmer, the Xbox 360 will have an HD-DVD type drive at some point in it's lifecycle.

"It's a little bit like the discussion about HD DVD type storage. Will we have it? Sure...You'll get it. And there will be other configurations that come to market."
